I was so excited to see these appear all over my neighborhood this week! And sometime soon we’ll get composting.
There have been paper and plastic/metal/glass recycling bins at a major crossroads in Bay Ridge since I’ve lived here. I wish they were by the subway entrances instead. Be wary of summer composting as I’m sure they will not be picking up every day.
Our recycling cans are on almost every street corner. No excuses people! I compost in my garden, so I wouldn’t send my stuff out.
I heard that they were bringing composting into the city. What did you hear about it? I am excited! Right now I compost at the UES farmer’s market every Saturday. But I wish there were more places to drop off!
